Tshiamo Ndlela (Grade 7) represented the SG Phoenix Team in the U13 Boys North Regional Hockey Tournament held in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, from 7-11 July. The team delivered an exceptional performance, playing exciting hockey throughout the tournament and earning a well-deserved silver medal. After a hard-fought final, the team narrowly missed out on gold, going down 6–5 in a thrilling penalty shootout. Congratulations to Tshiamo and the team on an outstanding achievement.

Ella Mathys (Grade 6) was selected as one of 14 girls from a pool of over 100 to join the U12 District 9 – Northern Gauteng hockey team. The team recently participated in the 2026 SASHOC Regional tournament from July 1 – 5 in Krugersdorp, competing against 16 other district teams from Gauteng, Northwest, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo. They finished the tournament at the top of their pool and won the bronze medal, placing third overall. Well done, Ella!
