Bryanston, Wednesday, 16 April 2025, our Grade R learners celebrated Fantasy Dress-Up Day — and what a magical morning it was!

Grade R

The Bryneven campus in Bryanston, Johannesburg came alive with excitement as our youngest learners arrived dressed as their favourite characters from fairy tales, films, and real life.

We saw everything from brave superheroes and sparkling Disney princesses to doctors, vets, chefs, and even little astronauts. The creativity, effort and enthusiasm shown by both the learners and their families were truly heart-warming.

This fun-filled event forms part of our vibrant Grade R programme at Bryneven, where play-based learning helps children develop essential skills in a safe, nurturing environment. Activities like these build confidence, encourage imagination and support early social development — all while having fun!

For parents who would like to find out more about Grade R at Bryneven Primary, we invite you to visit our Grade R information page. There you’ll find everything you need to know about our approach to early childhood education, the structure of the school day, and how we help each child grow and thrive.

We also offer a convenient Aftercare Programme, specifically designed for our Grade R learners. This provides a safe, structured space in the afternoons, with time for play, rest, and supervised activities — ideal for working parents.

A big thank you to all the parents and guardians who helped make Dress-Up Day such a success. Your support and creativity helped create lasting memories for our little ones!
