Montrose Night Soccer Tournament
Last week Friday, our U8, U9, U10 boys and Open girls’ soccer teams participated in the Montrose Night Soccer Tournament. All our teams did well during the round robin section where they faced-off against numerous schools from all around Johannesburg. Our Open girls fell just short for the medal’s games, whilst our U8 and U10 boys teams missed out on the gold medal match by just a single point. Congratulations to our U9 boys who played in the gold medal match against Bryanston Primary, into what is turning out to be something of a solid derby match (their fourth meeting this season after playing them in the Bryneven and Bryanston Soccer Tournament’s gold medal matches, and beating them just last week in the Quarter-final of the Johannesburg KO Cup and now in the Montrose tournament gold medal match).
With some very passionate supporters on both sides, our boys were able to repeat their victory from the KO Cup and won the match 2-0 to be crowned as Champions. Well done to, Ntokozo Mbokazi, who was ‘Player of the Tournament’ for the Under 9 age group. Thank you to the coaches, staff and parents who supported the boys and girls throughout the long evening.
