National Results of the English and Afrikaans Prepared Reading Competition

We are incredibly proud to announce the results of our learners in Grades 4-7 who participated in the National Prepared Reading Competition, a prestigious competition hosted by the South African Literacy Association. Our learners competed with other learners from all nine provinces across the country, making their achievement across the three categories, a stellar performance for our school.

A huge congratulations is extended to Kriti Babu (Grade 5 English Prepared Reading Category) and Sebastian Le Roux (Grade 4 Afrikaans Prepared Reading Category) who were placed first in their respective categories and are the National Champions for 2025. We are proud of the hard work and determination demonstrated by all our learners in preparation for this competition.

National Results of the English Public Speaking Competition

Congratulations to the following children who showcased excellent articulation and oratory skills at the National Final Public Speaking Competition hosted by the South African Literacy Association.

We acknowledge the exceptional efforts of Dylanne Prevost (Grade 6) and James Venter (Grade 7) who were both placed 2nd in the country in their respective grades.

We are exceptionally proud of the hard work and determination demonstrated by all our learners in preparation for this competition.

Results of the English Drama Competition – District Level

Congratulations to our Grade Six learners who participated at the District Level of the English Drama Competition hosted by the Department of Education.

The title of their performance was Gogo’s Clever Trick, and the cast included Daniel Davidson, Logan Aucamp, Zoe Nguluwe, Dylanne Prevost and Sulaymaan Mahomed.

We are pleased to announce that Sulaymaan Mahomed won the overall award for the ‘Best Male Actor’. Well done Sulaymaan.
