The Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee (which reports to the School Governing Body) manages all fundraising for our school.
The committee is made up of passionate parents, who generously give up their time and energy to raise funds for the school ensuring that our children get the best all-round education.
Fundraising is an essential part of the SGB’s function. The school receives a small annual grant from the Department of Education. While this provides funding for some educators, admin staff and ground staff, all other expenses, including the appointment of additional SGB staff, maintenance and all improvements to the school, must be budgeted for out-of-school fees and fundraising.
The Fundraising Committee is always grateful to any parents and friends of Bryneven who are prepared to assist the school with services or donations of items for fundraising purposes. Many activities are planned and communicated throughout the year.

What we do
- Host fun events throughout the year to raise funds for the school
- Support the school in capital projects and programs which benefits the Bryneven community
- Supporting local charities through outreach events
- Lost property and second-hand store
- Above all, we want the kids to thrive in a safe, welcoming and warm environment
- While this is created by the school, the activities run by the Fundraising Committee bring some fun to normal school days

Support our school by naming Bryneven as a beneficiary on your MySchool Card.
My School Card is a facility where anyone (parents, grannies and grandpas, aunts and uncles, friends) can nominate Bryneven as a beneficiary and use their MySchool Cards whilst shopping and thereby, without any cost to themselves, raise funds for the school. MySchool supports quality learning in South Africa and aims to ensure that all children have access to the quality education they deserve.
If you nominate Bryneven Primary as a beneficiary, the school can raise funds without outlaying any cost. We have 491 supporters and earn +/- R5000 a month.
