Achievements may 2029

Academic Achievement:

We recently hosted the Natural Sciences Fair, where our talented young scientists from Grades 4-7 showcased their impressive models and contraptions. They also presented innovative solutions to the challenges posed by load shedding. Congratulations to the following overall winners in their respective grades:

  • Logan Aucamp – Grade 4
  • Yusuf Abrahams – Grade 5
  • Danika Gevers and Ibrahim Mahomed – Grade 6 (joint winners)
  • Dominique Human and Jessica Taggart – Grade 7

Bryanston Netball and Six-a-side Soccer Tournament:

Our Under 10 to Under 13 Soccer and Netball teams participated in the Bryanston 6-a-side Soccer and Netball tournament last week. Congratulations to all our teams for their excellent performance, with several of them reaching the finals.


Upcoming Netball Playoffs:

We wish our U10, U12, and U13 Netball teams the best of luck as they compete in the District Playoffs at Reddam Bedfordview on Tuesday, 30 May.


Joburg KO Cup – Soccer:

Our teams are making great progress in the Joburg KO Cup, the largest soccer cup competition in Johannesburg. We still have all our teams in the competition, and they have a chance to reach the finals. Keep supporting our U14 Girls’ Soccer team as they play against King David Linksfield today. We wish all our teams the best as they aim to become the Champions of Joburg. Check the table below for the list of matches and opponents.


External Extra Mural Achievements:

We are proud to announce the achievements of our students in external activities:

Central Gauteng Action Cricket: Congratulations to Asher Foster (5D) and Matshidi Schreiber (4D) for their selection in the Central Gauteng Indoor Cricket U11 and U10 teams respectively. They will be representing us at the Interprovincial tournament in Pietermaritzburg during the June holidays.

SAPSF National Aerial Champions: Jenna Biart (6A) and Chloe Alers (6A), winners of Bryneven’s Got Talent, competed in the SAPSF National Aerial Champions. They achieved gold in the Junior 10-17 duo division and have qualified for the World Championships in Poland in October. Chloe also won the Singles event, securing World’s Qualification. We wish them the best in their training and fundraising for Poland.

SANESA Achievement: Jessica Taggart (7D) represented Bryneven Primary in the SANESA Core Qualifier 3 on Sunday, 14 May 2023, in the 70cm Show Jumping Horse Category. Riding Little Princess, Jessica excelled and earned a 1st and 3rd place in two classes. Well done to Jessica and her horse for their excellent performance.
